SERVICES
I think it is my job, as an interior designer, to help clients determine what a home, their home, will look like, not to remake every project in some particular style or follow today’s hot trend. To do this, we have to learn how a client will use a space now as well as how they might use it many years in the future. Our scope of work typically covers these areas but can include many others;
- Space planning
- Furniture plans, selection and purchasing
- Tile, stone, appliance and hardware selection
- Design of custom elements such as fireplaces, railings, door and decorative metal elements
- Selection of exterior and interior finish materials
- Electrical and lighting design and coordination
- Coordination of all interior design elements with electrical and mechanical systems
- Drawings and documentation for all selections
- Coordination of schedules and budgets for all materials
ABOUT
Studio 133 is led by Chris Powell who has been an interior designer working exclusively on high-end residential projects for almost 30 years. He began his career in New York City working for some of the best interior designers (Jed Johnson) and architecture firms (Robert A.M. Stern Architects) in the world. Like many other people, he came to Aspen for vacation and never really left the area. Chris started Studio 133 in 2001 and has completed numerous projects throughout the country in the intervening years. We are, intentionally, a small office that works on a limited number of projects so we can stay involved on a daily basis.
“I love the design and construction process and think it should be fun and exciting for the clients as they watch a new home unfold from a few concept images to a completed home. My favorite projects are complex, highly detailed new builds or, especially, remodels (I think I am a glutton for punishment). All our projects come from personal referrals from realtors, previous clients or from contractors who have enjoyed working with us or are repeat clients for whom we have completed homes in the past.”
